DataKom 10 Year Anniversary

The excitement had been building at DataKom this month with the countdown to our exciting 10 year anniversary event -  and the time finally arrived to celebrate in style.

Overlooking the beautiful Welsh countryside (unseen in the dark), we chose the popular Llanerch Vineyard where the DataKom family and partners attended for an evening of tasty food, entertainment, award ceremony and trays of tequila shots.

A Chance To Reflect

It was the first big gathering devoted to the team – and Jay gave special thanks for 10 years of hard work, dedication and support – with Datakom now employing 25 team members.

As guests arrived they were greeted by complimentary drinks of white wine and bottled beer – then invited to have professional photographs taken before taking their seats in the spectacular decorated dining area.

The event kicked off with a few words from our MD who praised the team for making such an effort, especially those sporting a beard trim.

With everyone in good spirits, plates of wonderful smelling food began arriving at tables – 3 courses of pure delight.

The Awards Ceremony

There had been major office talk of the month – who would win each award as voted for by the DataKom team. The time had finally arrived, winners were announced, invited to the stage and given their well-deserved award.

In no particular order:

Customer Service Of The Year  – Louise Williams

Overall Team Member Of The Year – Louisa Narbeth

Manager Of The Year – Craig Jones

Office Administrator Of The Year – Sally Jones

Sales Person Of The year – Daniel Mullins

Techy Of The Year – Robert Adam

Best Dressed Of The Year – Julie Davies

Clown Of The Year – Daniel Mullins

Stress Head Of The Year – Stuart Meikle

Food Connoisseur Of The Year – Stuart Meikle

As a special thank you for 10 years of DataKom service Louisa Narbeth was awarded with a Long Time Team Member Award.

The half Spanish, half Welsh standup comedian Ignacio Lopez entertained the room with a mix of sarcastic observations, witty lines and parody songs.

Jukebox took centre stage with a back catalogue of popular hits -guests headed to the dancefloor with questionable dancing continuing late into the night.

The night was a true celebration of DataKom’s journey which brought together the team in the most fantastic way possible. Head to our Facebook page for all the night’s photos.
