Cause for celebration 

February marks a very special milestone for us - we’ve been in business 10 years! Thanks to the hard work, expertise and dedication of our team we’ve gone from strength to strength.

So, to say a very special thank you for all this hard work, we’re celebrating in style. We’ve picked a very special venue - the popular Llanerch Vineyard - where we will enjoy wine tasting and great food. It’s taken all of February to plan and organise but we’re hoping it will be a night to remember.

Not forgetting our customers…

We also have our loyal customers to thank for our 10 years in business. Later in the year we’ll be hosting an exclusive charity ball to thank our customers for their support over the past 10 years.

Depending on the success we’ll aim to make this an annual event - something for our staff and customers to look forward to in the calendar. 

Introducing KloudWiFi…

We’ve been working quietly behind the scenes on an exciting new product - KloudWiFi.

KloudWiFi is a separate brand but will be operating as part of DataKom.  Essentially, KloudWiFi is all about setting up legally compliant guest WiFi - think hotels, restaurants and cafes. 

Already tested in 8 'pilot sites' for over 18 months with huge success, we’re excited to get the brand off the ground in 2017. Since the official launch this year - and Darren Joslin joining us in January as a Business Development Manager - KloudWiFi seen some fantastic interest from new and existing clients.

You’re, of course, more than welcome to try a demo - we’d strongly recommend checking it out on the KloudWifi website.

Update: KloudPBX

There was a lot of interest in last month’s product launch - KloudPBX - and I'm pleased to say it’s currently achieving huge interest amongst new and existing clients.

Our sales team, who have always promoted on premise systems, are excited to be promoting a complete cloud based solution wherever the environment is right. I'm confident that this will be the most appropriate service for a number of our business clients.  Our job is to match the right solution to every customer - and this new product launch helps us offer the full range of options.

On the face of things, the customer benefits from a cloud telephony system as it’s simpler and less disruptive than the traditional telephone systems. However, a lot of work goes on behind the scenes to make this the case. Telecoms firms that offer cloud based solutions must have the right infrastructure and proper backup and service levels - and we’ve worked hard to get the right structure in place to offer a seamless cloud-based service.

A word of warning.  Don’t get burned by companies offering cloud software on the cheaper end of the spectrum. Often these are hosted without the correct infrastructure - so be wary of buying on price. 

This month’s tip: product maintenance

Product maintenance gets a bit of a bad rep these days.  More and more customers feel as though they’re avoiding the unnecessary expense of a bolt-on service they don’t really need by avoiding these charges.

While that might be true with some products and services in certain sectors, every day we see why in B2B, ongoing telecom support is well worth having.  How much could you lose by being uncontactable?

If your business can’t afford the drama of issues with its telephone system then it’s worth the peace of mind. Think of it as part of an insurance policy for the best ongoing customer service - issues can be resolved quickly with the least amount of disruption.

In other news - I’ve been very busy this month. I’ve been on the judging panel for the Business Growth awards which is taking place on the 2nd March. I’m also really honoured to be presenting the 'Customer Service’ award - something DataKom are very passionate about!
