3 promotions within DataKom!

After a successful few months, DataKom has promoted 3 team members to new positions in the technical and provisioning department.

DataKom has seen a large increase in projects: KloudPBX has proven incredibly popular with sales doing a fantastic job promoting this product, as well as growth from KloudWiFi with larger on-site installations.

Engineering Department change

The engineering team have seen a department change with two promotions. Firstly, there will now be a cabling team to complete all first-fix cabling work on telephone system installs, allowing the telecom engineers to concentrate solely on other projects.

Lee Butcher has been promoted to cabling manager to head up the new team - with future plans to bring a trainee cabling engineer on board – mentored by Lee.  Lee has been working as a telecom engineer for 2 years at DataKom, carrying out cabling work and phone system installations. To further expand his knowledge of fibre, construction, health & safety and leadership, he has been enlisted on courses - to ensure customer requirements are always met.

The strategy going forward is to build the cabling team to an eventual team of 6 over the next 2 years.

Trainee Engineer Role

In a further change within this department - Robert Adam has now been promoted to a field based ‘Trainee Engineer’ role.

Robert has been working as an in-house support advisor for the past 4 years delivering excellent customer service. Robert will solely focus on KloudPBX – beginning with smaller installs and software to allow Jonathan, Alister and Phil to concentrate on larger installs and KloudPBX projects.

Rob will buddy up with the engineers on KloudPBX for a month and then begin installing on his own – further growing his skillset and knowledge.

Provisioning

The company prides itself on quick response times and meeting project timescales so it created the position of an additional Project Manager. Rhys Jones was the perfect fit with his current knowledge of business procedures and practices from working as an Internal Account manager. Rhys and Lousia will both manage projects independently whilst continuing to offer excellent customer service.
